During its many years, Smith Point Sea Rescue has gone from rather humble beginnings, where members volunteered their boats as well as themselves, to its current formidable and prestigious unit. Today SPSR has five boats in operation.

42 foot Provincial (Rescue I) kept on Cockrell’s Creek off the Great Wicomico River
32 foot Carmen (Rescue II) at Olverson’s Marina on Lodge Creek near Callao
27 foot Blackfin (Rescue III) at Smith Point Marina on the Little Wicomico River

…along with 19 and 21 foot Carolina Skiffs (used for shallow water rescues) at Cockrell’s Creek facility and Olverson’s Marina
